The Ideal Marriage

In preparation for the new book that we shall read we had a heated discussion today about "What in your opinion is your ideal marriage?" Before I say what we said in class I want to ask you guys some Qs:

What do you expect the wife to do?
Who should do the house work?
Would you be ok if your wife made more money than you?
Would your wife work?
Would you be willign to sit home and take care of the house, while your wife works?

I agree with all your answers except the one to:

And actually my class agreed that a man would not be comfortable if his wife made more money than him.

It's not always about money. That's why some men don't allow their wives to work.

No...they feel that they aren't like the other men if that happens... like they are less.

I'm just telling you...of course you'll find a variety of guys...including some who don't want to work at all...and have no dignity...but the majority would be like that.

hmmm i think independence is the main thing that would make my marriage "ideal"
