Resting often, I left poor Hofton,
His legs still rotten, with a little rocking.

Gruesome and free, that fallen tree,
Passing all over poor Hofton.

With a tap on his bed, and a rap on his shed,
The bed suddenly flattened, poor Hofton still knocking,
His death left me with a rather big lofting.
