Ok:
"A man undressed to go to bed and lots of people lost their jobs. Why?"
The man was Clark Gable, the screen idolm who took off his shirt in a movie in which he was about to go to bed. He was not wearing an undershirt. So great was his influence that men stopped wearing undershirts and factories making them had to close down. In a later movie, he wore an undershirt and restored it to fashion.
"One night, a man staying in a small Tokyo hotel ordered a drink on
room service. It never came. Early in the morning, he was awakened by a
loud knock on his door. Why?"
The man had ordered a Seven-Up. The hotel receptionist had misunderstood the order for the soda to mean a wake-up call at 7 a.m.
"A man wrote out and signed a check from his own checkbook for $1,000.
There was more than this in his account. Yet he was charged with fraud.
Why?"
He used ink which vanished after a few hours.
