Inspired by a YA Q-Trust Empty Inspired by a YA Q-Trust

Post by Ahmed Mon Jan 18, 2010 2:25 pm

I must say, I got surprised by how much people don't trust one another O_O...

For everyone hear, the topic was basically saying "How much do you trust people...?" and like just me and Marwa said we do xD lol. Man that Q made me feel foolish :S

    This was my reply:

"I used to be naive to the point where I trusted this person with pretty
much everything...I learned the hard way that you should never do that,
since the person could always change by 180 degrees,
unfortunately...but I disagree with you however, that you should JUST
trust Allah then your parents. Of course you must trust everything in
your religion then you parents! However, I think if you get to know a
person for so long (years) and they have constantly shown you that they
are trustful, I think you are safe then trusting them with anything."

    Anyone agree?

Pretty much everyone said, they trust just God and their parents...

Yeah, that's how I thought everyone was lol?

This world gets scarier every day in my eyes. :S

I mean like if we look at it from a Islamic perspective, there used to exist something known as trust between people. Ok I won't bring up the facts that even the dis-believers trusted the Prophet (SAW) with their stuff, because he is a Prophet....but the Prophet (SAW) himself trusted people like Abu Bakr, and the rest of the Sahabas (Muslims)...even the non-Muslim Ethopian King (if you know the story)...where did the element of "trust" go? slanty

Well I know Steve, I was not saying tell them every detail in your life. I was just saying that you should be able to trust people besides your parents...

    why didn't he trust everyone?
He trusted the Muslims. And the peaceful non-Muslims. For the most part, most of the disbelievers in Makkah and Median wanted to kill him.

There is still trust in the world ahmed. Its stupid to say there isnt.
Of course there is, but I expected a much larger percentage of people with trust. For example look at the Q:

well you wouldn't give everyone the highest level of trust... why just parents, why not your whole family?

the world is a dangerous place you cant just trust everyone like that. It was the same in your prophets day.

    LOL

I never said trust everyone xD . Why are you going to extremes?

The people in that Q were like: "Parents and God only"
My opinion was that you should be able to trust a few more people besides just family and God. I never said trust everyone lol.

well i was thinking of strangers and some of them are going to betray your trust just like some are going to validate it... but you cant tell them apart untill you start talking. I dont know your friends ahmed so i cant tell you who to trust... there are quite a few of them in my life though.
