death is a powerful statement, but in abuse it becomes only a mask for terror and corruption.

Based on this I think he's against it. Anyways I dont think we have the right to decide whether someone else lives or dies when rotting in a tiny cell for life is probably a worse punishment anyways.

You think that the vengeful spirit of the victim will be doomed to wander the earth until closure is provided?
if so thats a bit silly.

No I don't. I don't believe in ghosts. I was thinking about the person's family.

But if we execute the murderer does that not make us murderers as well? What justifies our act?

A guy murders my family. I track the guy down and put a bullet in his head. am I in the right because I carried out this warped sense of justice you speak of?
The answer is no. I would be a murderer just like him.

True. But in the case of the Death Penalty the court would be carrying out the death after due process of law.

So because multiple people make the choice that makes it different?

Yes, since those people use something called "laws".

But within the confines of these "laws" we are still doing the same thing correct? ending someones life as closure. If we make it sound official its a different matter entirely?

Why did the world wage war against Nazi Germany? Technically you are still killing people like they were.

killing one for revenge makes you a murderer, killing one to save a few is just, and killing 1 to save many makes your a hero. In war your glory is built upon the men you have slain and the words of the saved, but as i say, the only innocent man in war is the first one to die.
btw check this out, it's an interesting twist on the death sentence vs jail

i dont think we have the right to end a life, we would denying that person the chance to make up for his crimes, or to reflect or any of that.
there is a higher rate of suicide in prison because people often see death as the favourable option.

I my self think that if you take a life you should loose a life and if you rape or Do anything in that sort of lines then you should hang for it or get beat to death by the one they did it to.
Locking some one up for that sort of thing is only giving them a chance. the one that was killed did not get any chance did they...
Now you know my Views on this matter.

But what if the person that killed didn't know what they were doing. I mean with modern time kids make their own decisions, yes I understand that, but they also take lives without meaning to. I think that for rape, they shouldn't be given death by the one who was raped. But instead they should be in deep trouble. For any big offencive crime. I would perfer to have something like the main event in "The Hunger Games"
