the game runs for 4 weeks and its a turn based strategy thingy, the idea is you create a plan for your space ship to follow and leave it alone, it works automatically but you can go and tweek it at any time

What are text based games?

i got in you need to join fast if you want to play.

basically its a high strategy game when all turns take place at once and you give your ship a set of instructions to follow, things like travel to here, if you see enemy,, fire at their location, turn around and retreat.

i thought it was be a fun thing for us all to do but it can be a little complex... try it out though

welll im trying to figure it out at the moment....

Do I SRSLY have to write up a computer program for this? cause thats wat it seems like ...

or maybe im just confused as to how u play...how do u set up ur character or anything?...or do i just equip the gears and sit tight?

just saw the programmy bit too, its been 2 years since i played a game here and it was very different.

yes you need to program your mech, i guess you can set up some simple instructions like if see enemy shoot!

that might get you a kill O.o

omg nooo im too lazy...i gotta do actual java programming + 2 projects tom...lol..maybe later this week..after wed....

atleast they give you a basic code to start with, you can probably survive with that for a while

its been ages since i programmed too... maybe flame would like this game

ill give this a shot, but next time post your alliance, it may help in inter forum members meetings =P

Steve care to give a few hints to a noob coder on hot to code the stuff?

to be honest i haven't tweaked my code much yet, i am hoping to do some after my exams but it seems self simple enough I am glad they listed all the vairibles for you.

basically if you can understand what the default code does then you can do anything, i suggest you take a copy of the default and save it somewhere before you change it too much, it can be useful to look at if your having problems.

keep the lay out simple, like it is in the default, the indenting makes it easy to see where things start and end

I won...yet it didn't say anything about me winning. (Round finished..)

the 2 other guys who came are the game makers i think, i didn't have any time to make my code in the end.

but one of them had loads of kills and only a few deaths o.o
