I am going to disagree with your statement, i dont find spending all your time obsessing over looks and shopping mature at all. Besides ones sex does not decide there maturity as much as there intellect, wisdom, and life experiences does.

I do enjoy video games but that me personally, everyone needs a stress vent and i play games with tactics and stratify nothing like cod. also when your bio teacher stated that girls mature faster she/he was saying that girls are able to sexually reproduce sooner than men, not that they are more mature

To answer the question, I believe that the Almighty created man and woman on an overall equal grounds, but gave both genders specialties in certain ares. Maturity is something that can not be talked about in terms of a monopoly on by either one; I have met some great inspirational and motivating females, and extremely losers males, and vice versa. In this case, its more about the individual than the entire male or female group.

i recently came to the realisation that childhood is a social construct, when you get your head around that its cleat that mental maturity happens when it needs to... i cant say if it needs to happen in girls earlier and more often than boys, but its clearly not linked to puberty now.
