Do you think that due to all the media (TV, internet etc.) books have lost their value? Or do books still have their proper value?

I think books still have a lot of value, its just that other forms are more publicized and followed. Some people (I wonder who, Ahmed) seem to prefer shortcuts like guide books for the books rather than reading them....others might as well enjoy listening to them....thus the book factor is still there, it's just on a different medium than paper

books are only valuable to those who take the time to learn from them, and seeing as many people in today world are idiots i would not be surprised that they are no longer valuable

There are some books that don't teach you anything (fiction).

Hassan, the debate isn't about what you are talking about Razz . The debate is did the value of getting a book in your hand and reading it lose it's value?

I get that. All i said was that other factors provide options to not get the actual book in your hand and give you a way out from reading them.

even in fiction we can find answers because the author allays puts a part of them self into the book, in sense if you look hard you can see into there very souls

I believe books lost their value. Why would you need to ever open a book when you have the internet?

But the internet has all your answers. For example, why would you need to open a book to find Nigeria's capital for example when you could just do:

1-google.com
2-Type "Nigeria"
3-Read first sentence in Wiki article

I don't think so. I think the book lost their value because teacher keep changing the new version of the book. I can't sell my used book back due to that. Evil or Very Mad
