My first Long Campaign-Egypt Empty My first Long Campaign-Egypt

Post by Ahmed Fri Jul 31, 2009 1:12 am

For the very first time I decided to play a long game. I choose Egypt.

To win I need to capture Jerusalem and Constantinople and own 45 regions!!

    I quickly captured the mideast.
I went up to Anatolia and destroyed the Turks.
I next fought with the Byzantines. I managed to completely kick them out of Anatolia and I even captured Constantinople (first European city to own).
The stupid Mongols went South from Russia and took 3 of my cities...I will hopefully recapture them and kick the Mongols out.

A crusade was called on Antioch (a city of mine). The Scilians captured thre city due to 2 of my armies that were supposed to protect it, rebelled agsint me.

The Scilains also captured Alexandria from me twice but I recpatured it from them.

The Timurids are about to come from the East again...

Here is the map so far:

The European Sicilians are all over the place in Africa (Libya and Tunisia)...and I have to deal with the Mongols.
Yesterday the Mongols and Egypt had raging battles. The Mongols are a pain in the head.

They basically, while I was battling the Byzantines, took control over most of Anatolia and they went south to the Mid-east. They actually went as far as to capture Damascus (near Jerusalem) but then I sent 2 armies from Cairo and Alexandria and 1 army from Constantinople to battle them. I managed to push them bac North from the middle east. I also took some of the territories that were lost from Anatolia.

    I HATE the Mogols!

At the mean time I continued my battle with the Byzantines and I manged to take 2 more of their former European territories (Bucharest and Thessalonica)

I also captured Durrazo (in Europe) from the Sicilians.

This is because they sometimes raid Cairo and Alexandria. Wink

Finally I am trying to capture Nicosia (Cyprus) from the Byzantines.

Well I don't really know their territories due to the fog of war...and they refuse to give me any map information.
    --------------------------------
Today I outdone myself. I coqnuered all my land from the Mongols. I elimeinated the Byzantines and took Cyprus. The Mongols and Hungary allied and so Hungary started attacking me...I eliminated Hunagry and took all their land!

    As you can see:

    My first Long Campaign-Egypt Mogols10

The Timurids (The New Nomads) and the Mongols are at war Very Happy . And the Timurdis captured Kiev from the Mongols.

I am basically comepeting agaisnt the HRE. The other factiosn are weaker.

I am planning to completely cpature all Mongol lands.

Well I expanded further into Europe by attacking Polemly from Sicily(The island that is under Italy's "boot"). The Exploerer's guild gave a me a mission to capture the city of Zagreb. It was owned by Venice. So therefore I attacked it and we had war. SOon enough I went into Italy and caotured the city of Venice (Which I got tons of money from after extermninating the people). The HRE bloackaded one of my ports. I attacked Florence, which was owned by it. I took it. Soon the people of Venice rebelled agsint me. And the stupid Papal army took Florence from me.

While fighting the Papal state practically all catholic factions became my enemies.

I sent a ship from Tunisia to an island onwed by Venice and I captured it.

I switched my Emprie's capital from Cairo to Constantinople so it could be close to where all the action is going on...Europe.

    Here is a map:

    My first Long Campaign-Egypt Full_m11

Notice that North and Suth America are on the left of the map. The light Blue are the Aztecs.

Also notice that the Timurids (dark black) took over former mongols lands. The Mongols just have one piece of land left.
I sent a ship form Tunisia to

Well Pried I wish but my ports are primitive...I never advanced since I don't use ships much....Ill ahve to start adavancing them but first I need more money.

Also I heard that the Aztecs are a strong opponenet since there are lots of them, that's why I shot equip units whom have guns.

Also why do you think no one will stop me if I capture the Americas?

Yesterday was the worst day in my M2TW life...

When I started playing I called a Jihad on Rome which was owned by the Papal states. I wasn't really going to do the Jihad but I wanted to use the bonuses from going on a Jihad so I could travel quickly to the different cities that are owned by HRE and capture them. I managed to capture many cities from HRE going as far as Vienna (Ottoman Empire much? Razz )

After I captured Nurremburg (The HRE capital) Denmark started attacking me and they captured Nurremburg)

Then the freaking pope went crazy...it's like he was let out from his cave. He captured practically all my European cities except 3-4... he actaulyl made my depressed irl! And the stupidmPope later actually joined the generla of an army and fought with me...and won all battles except one.

Milan, my only allied, got destoyed quickly. The Moors started attacking me in Africa. The Timurids are attacking me in the same way the Mongols did.

Almsot all factions (Muslims and Catholic) are my enemies....what did I do wrong?!

    Yeah thanks bro Smile

The papal state pushed me back to constatinople though. I still hav that game file I think.

You need to use bigger armies. Make 2-3 armies walk together....full armies.

    It's called Dongola.

BTW you reminded me. That's another thing that helps cities not rebel. Put your Capital in the middle of your empire. It stabilizes your empire.
