New Swim Suits

Ok so at the moment they have the world swimming championships on in... Rome I think, and I don't care if I am wrong. Anyways, some swimmers are swimming in new suits which have improved their times by heaps and heaps, so they are breaking all the records and beating all the swimmers that arent wearing them.

So next year they are going to be banned, but the problem is our records have been broken, should they be counted? They are saying it isnt the swimmer but the technology of their suits that enabled them to win, and next year they swim suits will no longer be around is it fair that the worlds best swimmers los their titles not to swimmers but to their swimsuits. Dont just say yes because technology is advanceing and shouldnt be held back because the suits are going to be out, and if so why should they be counted????
And is it fair that people like Michael Phelps get beaten simply because they didnt wear the suits?

technology is an important aspect of a sport, should the person who broke the worlds land speed record have his place in history removed because his car was more advanced than the last persons? By banning that swim suit you are putting a halt to future progress, progress that could save lives or open up a new window into deep sea exploration.

Your wrong. The suits are going to be banned, that is fact the reason is because they believe they make the player more buoyant, which is illiegal, it a performance enhancing suit. What im saying is is that if they are going to be banned why count them now? If they were always going to be ok then i wouldnt have problem

your right, they should be consistent, if an athlete was found to be on drugs their achievements would be ignored, if the suits are being banned the times should't count.

I agree. It should be the swimmer, not the swimsuit, that wins a race.

i dont really mind either way as long as their consistent.

You are not hindering progress, you are hindering unfair advantage

maybe these suits would improve peoples chances of surviving if they were washed out to sea while surfing or something.

But they surf in a stadium/arena (if that is the correct word to use).

surfing is only done on the sea, and it isn't an Olympic event.

Den Denz is talking about the Mediterranean games that is played in Rome this year between all nations bordering the Mediterranean (Egypt just won one gold medal in this karate sport )

well im not talking about the events, im talking about people who surf as a hobby
