Aside from religious figures, do you guys think that he was probably the most famous person ever? Maybe a couple of political figures such as Bush or Obama .. or maybe Muhammad Ali compare ... in terms of being known ...

I think he will be remembered as one of the, if not the greatest entertainers of all times....

i dont think so, he will be sorely missed by fans but everyone else seems to be making jokes about him instead of mourning, when John Lennon was killed it was incredibly sad, he will be remembered more favourably than MJ, also people think elvis was the greatest performer of all time, mj just wont knock him off that pedestal.

as for the most famous person in the world, it has to be the president of america, everyone knows who he is.

Frankly, MJ's achievements and fanfare seem to outdo everyone else's to me, thus I stand by my earlier post.

The President of America is not necessarily the most famous person in the world, it could be the most infamous, depending on the holder of the office at the time.

people don't like change, elvis will still be the king of rock and pop (or whatever he was) and micheal jackson will join the footnote with james morrison and jimi hendrix

I mean everyone knows who Michael Jackson is though ... I'm not asking if he will be remembered ... I'm asking if you think this man was probably the most well known person on earth and possibly ever, excluding religious figures ...

he is indeed well-known all around the globe

i think he will fizzle out with the end of my generation.
