My dad doesn't like me online with strangers, but I know I can handle myself. No matter what I try to convince him I can't get him to agree. He says he trusts me, it's just the other people he doesn't trust. I show him how I can block people and remove them if needed, but still, he says no.

I'm speaking speaking about Animal Crossing on the wii, see I had written down and added a few friend codes for some people I wanted to try to be pen pals with. I can get rid of unwanted people with two clicks. But my dad has said no so many times, and I just want to get the full use out of my game. Many people go online in AC, no problems, no rapists, or anything. They couldn't even get any personal info anyway.

He recently asked about the FCs I've written done.....and I lied to him, but he had a long day and didn't want to be yelled at, or immedietly punished.

Any advice on how to convince him...?

Well you did say that you told your dad that you could block somone very easily...and your dad trusts you. So what exactly is your dad's reason for not allowing you to do so...? Is there a specific reason?

Well that conversation was about xbox live, this is the wii, his wii, but he either won't believe me or he'll say "no", and if I continue, I'll get yelled at or punished.....

Hmm...why don't you let your mom influence your dad. Explain the situation to your mother...unless if she also disagrees...

He knows, or will know that Nintendo is safe, but to him it's a game and doesn't need online, to him. It defeats the prupose of the game AC

Well I know that you play Runescape-last time I checked. Try to show him that it genereally is the same...in that you meet different (real) people from everywhere...

I use to play RS, but yes.....he told me I wasn't allowed to speak to anyone.....

I'm old enough and mature enough to know when to click the "End Party" thing to remove everyone from my town. I played online today with someone on EO, no problems, and yesterday with AC, no problems with anyone, at all.

You need to phyically prove it to your dad I guess....why don't you invite your dad to watch you playing with other people AC, one time :

Theory, sometimes you can not reason with parents. To convince them, you need to show them over a period of time. Be at your best behavior and show that you can deal with people. Hope fully, he will understand.

I can grow facial hair, I shave though.

Then take my advise its garunteed to work ... I mean if he still says something about it stroke your facial hair and be like "I have a beard now!"
