Hi,

I just wanted to annoucne that from this point forward, whenever you vote towards a suggestion that will affect the forum, you must post a post saying that you have voted.
Only the votes that have been announced will be counted

NOTE: This does not mean that you have to say what you voted for.

P.S.: An exmaple of a poll that will affect the forum is the "Invion or PHPBB?" topic.

how do you know which votes to ignore if people dont say how they voted

Well at first I will check to see if the votes and post match. If they don't then I will ask them to write their answer.

Better yet, actaully write what you choose, updates that affect the forum aren't really secret or anything :

I thought one of the traditions of voting is not telling what you voted.

This is only for the updates that will affect the forum.

thats not true, votes are just another way to make a decision. its less formal when its public, and can be more of a discussion but that's probably a good thing on a forum.

Well, while voting is strictly private, we just want this so that there is no chance of cheating of any kind. Remember that this applies only to polls regarding possible updates to the forum, not to any political, or other types of polls.
