New Horizons awards

Person of the week: You can nominate the person, and the members would vote every week.

Person of the month: Same procedure as person of the week, but selected every month.

Most Helpful: the member which the other members consider most helpful, decided through voting.

Most posts: the member with most posts in a month.

Best RPGer: the member who leads his RPG role the best.

Most Kind: the member who is most helpful and loyal to New Horizons.

Best Gamer: the member who plays the best in the Arcade section.

Please note that one person can not obtain two titles at the same time.

I am adding that the voting for 'person of the month', 'most helpful', and 'most kind' would be done on the first of each month, (upon nomination), starting November 2008. This month is the exception, since you can nominate uptil the seventh (7th) of this month.

The voting for 'person of the week' shall be done on Sunday (upon nomination).

Note that one can win as unopposed candidate.

we are still working out the kinks of the rp and i have given some of the more interesting acts

I think all you have to do pried is make anew topic/ poll, and ask members to vote for you. If obody else is nominated for the position, you get the award automatically.. I think it would help if you explain why you believe you deserve the award! Good Luck.

you really should be able to get more than one medal, its unfair if you were in the army and they said to you "you can have a purple heart or a medal of valour" (or something)

No Steve, you should give more people chances to get medals...it will seem abused if one person has most....

Anyway, you guys can suggest new awards here, and some special awards in honor of our first year. (like for those members who are here since the beginning, those who came along and stuck with the forum etc).

i think a new rank for old members should be opend to show others howlong they have been here for NH

pried, I think that the members button in the nav bar does that good enough, and that would just create confusion of colors.

instead of award it could be a rank or w/e its called like instead of being a member a Founding member lol

I understand, but if you look at it, the existing ranks and their colors would have to be changed or modified, as in, for example, Ahmed is the Founder and the admin and pried is retired moderator, and the rank "Founding members" would conflict with that. So I think an award which shows up below (or above) the avatar would be more effective. But that's just my opinion.

Oh...I see...Well maybe for those that dont have special ranks could have but mods and such could have awards

I guess I could add this very small medal for the first 10 members for example...

Also Hassan I am the only founding member.
