i didnt chicken out, you knew i had gone for a bit Razz (ahmed)

evolution is fact, and evidence of it is all around us, for example...

we dont need our smallest toes, the fifth toe starting from the big one is there for balance. or it was in previous forms. Now we can easily deal without it.

do you have any idea how painful it would be to be stopped by your little toe? Its weak and of no use any more.

Yes it does have a use: It gives you balance.

Cut your small toe and see if you would be balanced Razz - or you could take my word for it that it gives you balance Wink

People tried it and now they keep on falling or have bad balance.

if your cut off your ear you will be unbalanced but if you are born without one you will be fine, does the toe not also follow this rule?

You won't be unbalanced if you cut off your ear Pried, your ear does not affect your balance because you don't walk with it, and it doesn't affect walking in any way.

actually balance control is near the ear, although its not actually in the ear its close enough that a blow to the head makes you fell or you can have less balance with a bad cold

    Evoultion Theory - Page 4 Ear_cutaway

    The balance system

The vestibular (balance) system is made up of five organs that are housed in the inner ear (labyrinth). These so-called vestibular organs are the three semicircular canals, the saccule, and the utricle. (The saccule and the utricle make up the vestibule.) See the Figure. The semicircular canals are responsible for the detection of rotation (angular acceleration). In contrast, the saccule and utricle are responsible for the detection of straight-line (linear) acceleration and gravity.

As already mentioned, these five vestibular organs, as well as the hearing part (cochlea) of the inner ear, contain fluid-filled compartments (endolymphatic fluid in the endolymphatic space). What's more, these organs are contained within the fluid-filled bony labyrinth (perilymphatic fluid in the perilymphatic space). A healthy vestibular system is dependent on the proper maintenance of these fluid spaces. Furthermore, each vestibular organ has a paired partner in the other (contra lateral) ear. And, the partners are connected to each other in the brainstem by the vestibular nerve, which is the other main branch of the eighth cranial nerve.

Our wisdom teeth are also vestigial. Likely our ancestors had bigger mouths so handle such teeth, however the modern human doesn't have a large enough mouth to have room for them, yet our bodies still create them. Why create something you don't need? Evolution is both a gift and curse sometimes.

Why does it have to be that "humans evolved from apes" and not vice versa?

Have you heard of the person Charles Darwin? He discovered similar animals, but different because they had to adapt to the environment.
And because I could not resist, here it is:
There is no such thing as evolution, just the animals Chuck Norris allowed to live. Hilarious
