What will happen if all the Petroleum finishes...which will really happen very soon....

i think we can allready make energy without petroleum, and there are green ways of doing it too but i think the oil companies keep it quiet so they can keep on making their millions

Think about it...these machines that as you said "make energy" , they need petroleum to work...so at the end it goes down to petroleum.

no i mean a way to run machines without petrolium, burning petrol is one way to make energy but i think theres atleast one green way to do it

like i said, the oil giants are paying millions to protect their billions, after the petrol is gone they will probably sell their new energy source

Its impossible....even to make an invention that could make energy would need petroleum to work in the first place...and obviously it cant give itself energy...

Maybe we will use Nuclear Fuel a lot.

im not talking about a machine that makes energy, petroleum is an energy source and thats why we use it to power some machines, we use coal too and natural gas, but they're all bad for the environment. things like sound waves are an energy source which are completely reusable, naturally occurring and don't harm the environment, all you need to turn it into energy is a machine largely like a microphone...

So you think that sound waves could power up machines...I can't imagine that (0.0)....

why not? sound waves are another form of energy, unfortunately when i worked out how to make power from sound i checked it out and some guy beat me to it, they're called dynamic microphones i think, and they're not very effective. but all forms of energy can be made into power, kinetic energy is the one used the most, that's actually how they turn petroleum into power, same with all fossil fuels.

Yes of course, I know that. But lets return to the topic, if petroleum runs out and there is no alternate energy invented by then what will we humans do?

i think we will rely on poor power sources. and guess what? It will cost more than petrol.

But poor power sources wont be able to power the machines of today...

yeah they will, they can run cars on electricity. the more power you need the longer you need to charge up for though, im thinking of solar power and wind, all that stuff.

Electricity can't power up everything though...nor can those other weak alternatives...

I think people will go back to riding horses !
