iPod incident

Today I was waiting for my train to go home from school, then this cop came and said take off your headphones 0.o ...I took it off then he said let me see your iPod, he said watch Ill steal it...then I removed it from my pocket but didn't give it to him...then he said something about "See if I wasnt a cop I woudl see you with headphones and Ill knwo waht you have and Ill rob it...thats why you should hold your iPod, and not in your pocket"

I nodded and he left.

Anyone understand anything? 0.o?

He may have been trying to protect you. If you do have an ipod tho, why do you think people put their hands in their pockets? THey keep it safe

if you wear some different headphones people wont recognise its an ipod by looking at you and it will be a little safer

Also woudln't I know that soemone robbed my iPod if I am listening to it and all of a sudden their is no voice?

And yeah Steve, he said somehting liek that about wearing different headphones...

I still don't get how changing head phones well change anything...

because the white hedphones are imediately recognisable as Ipod, where other ones could be anything, a CD player or any mp3 player

So why don't they steal those also?

if you were a mugger, would you attack the person who might have an ipod but you cant tell, or the person who certainly has an ipod?

You don't understand why wouldn't the mugger steal MP3, CDs, Cassests etc.

Yeah, cops are really annoying sometimes...espicially the ones near my school...

report them to the poleace cheif, it sounds like he was harrasing people. do you have his car id or bage #?

I was down in the subway station...there are no cars there , and no I don't have his badge...

did he give you his name? where there any other police there

Because ipods sell for the most, if they want to steal an mp3 player ipods are the best for it

Why would he give me his name? Also Pried it wasnt serious...it was just stressful and annoying...
