No right click? Empty No right click?

Post by Nick Peter Sun Aug 24, 2008 4:35 pm

It's weird. My computer will not allow me to right click on the start menu. At all.

Don't tell me to do a virus scan, because I probably have the safest computer and internet usage in my whole city.

Oh, and my computer is using Windows XP Home. UXTHEME.dll has been patched (if you don't know what that is, it's a patch for a Windows file to allow custom Visual Styles).

Did you change any options on your computer? If you could have always right-clicked it and suddenly you can't...then you must have changed something.

It has not worked for the last few months actually. I forgot to mention it.

I have not changed any options that I know of.

Well, I'm on a laptop. There are about 3 accounts, 2 of which have admin capabilities, the other one is restricted. I am one of the admin accounts, but on the other ones right click works. It's just on my account that it doesn't.

Mmmm, it's not really my computer, so I'm not really allowed to change the registry without my parents permission.

And I've had Tweak UI on my system for ages. It doesn't give me any option to allow right click.

that if you dont have money and are an xp user, if that doesnt work make sure the mouse has been configured correctly or check the user account permissions on one of the admin accounts to make sure the settings are all good there.
