Off topic: ok you know like about 100 years ago in england with the rich and posh societys (watch pride and prejudice people) they all had these little rituals some to say hello some to welcome someone into the room and what not, the person coming didn't actually know if he was welcome or if what they said about it being a pleasure to meet him were true it was just like a scripted play, so i choose to go improv get off the play and onto my own little rant.

Off topic: Den Denz and Steve, I understand your idea but do not agree with that. I just write 'welcome' to the new comers because I really do welcome them with the bottom of my heart, not because I am a 'plastic person' or a 'sheep'. I welcome new members and hope that he/she will be active, rather than writing my intro again.
However, I think that your idea is praiseworthy because it shows that you are really into the forum. Basically, it just comes down to 'to each his own' rather than calling us 'plastic people' or 'sheep'.
