Consider these hypothetical scenarios:

You get into a car accident. The doctors diagnose that you are heart dead, but they manage to keep your brain alive. Now in the car accident you had a man, a woman and a dog. They are brain dead, but the doctors manage to keep the rest of their bodies alive.

If the doctor put your brain into the

(A) Man
(B) Woman
(C) Dog

Which would would you consider it to be you? Or is it none of them?

I would say flip a coin but there's no three sided coin.

No matter what I feel that no difference will be made of where my consciousness went.

More or less, I felt to say this because the choices made in our lives define who we are as people. Choices are made via the conscience.

But obviously I have no clue what I'm talking about... as usual.

How about if someone has the same conscience as you? Would you be him or her?

No, because in just a single moment you will separate, becoming two unique yet very similar individuals.

So how about if you get a crippling disease that destroys half your brain. Are you only half of you?

If you were to get something that damaging then pretty much so.

Despite how little we're claimed to use our brains, any sort of damage to it could take complete usage of our body away.

An existence is flesh, spirit & brain. So not exactly a half would remain, but each depend greatly on one another.

Yes, I believe in reincarnation to the extent of the reuse of souls & soulmates sticking together to the end of time.

And no, if I lost half of my brain I would still be all of me because I am the current state of my brain.

So you are not the actual brain, but the state of your brain? Isn't that basically what a soul is? Do you believe in souls?
