    Ghadafi was a solider in the Libyan army. At the time it was a constituional monarchy and this was the flag:

    Ghadafi did a coop and kicked the king out. He became Libya's leader.
    He changed the flag to:

    He ruled for 42 years (till he got killed today).

    A revolution started and it ended killing him because of his stupidty. And now the flag is once again:
