You have to first weaken them. If they are weak then they are nothing to worry about.

byzantines have 1 settlement left ...im destroying them within 3 turns and then I go after venice ... hungary and i just made a peace deal, they aren't messing with me ... but these italian punks are getting destroyed

im also planning on hitting them from tripoli (or was it tunis) or whatever that settlement is called ... Mongols are currently heading right into Hungarian territory which means I can concentrate on Italy ... and I just remembered that France was eliminated a long time ago but hey, France got eliminated!!

lottt of stuff happened the last few turns ... I'm in late game with only 29 settlements, which means I'll probably be losing at the end

First of all, I destroyed the Byzantines completely



Then I think it was Sicily that attacked me and my relations with the Pope went down so I declared Jihad against Rome and it was on .. I actually set sail with a random general with no command rating but whatever, not like anyone was gonna stop this massive Jihad army

I didn't feel like making siege weapons so I just used a single bombard to blast down their walls (you know how gigantic there walls are man lol) got as many mercenaries as I could from the area and went in and slaughtered their army like a boss and killed the pope



I will admit that they put up a good fight, but it was noice watching my axemen tear them to shreds



Sacking Rome brought me over 29k florins and sacking Naples from Sicily was also very profitable ... and afterwards I randomly did the fow cheat and found the new pope in the Iberian peninsula, near Portugal (Spain got eliminated btw ... I'm the Moors only allies lol)

After that, I went into recession because the stupid plague struck and all the neighboring xtian factions declared war on me .. I knew I should've went into Hungary before going into Italy ... I took the Citadel of Tunis from Sicily (wasn't easy either ... HEAVILY fortified) but then they took it back from me ... so I took Palmero from them in return LOL ... basically only Milan controlled Florence isn't under ym power in the Italian peninsula ...

And then disaster struck, the Timurids arrived and attacked my castle of Mosul!



And the worst part is that the Mongols are still roaming around in North Anatolia ... they haven't attacked Russia or anything! They just stand around Trebizond

BTW this is your chance. You probably don't know this, but if you put a spy in one of your settlements that have a plague. Then send the spy to a enemy city that doesn't have the plague, then the city will also have the plague.

btw i just blew my chance ... I defended my castle of Mosul from the Timurids (they only sent their weakest army, why I have no idea ) so they all ganged up on me at Baghdad

So I'm just gonna go all out and start conquering like crazy

Hungary is watching me take their settlements as well ... Sicily is the only faction showing any kind of resolve, but once my Jihad army captures Tunis, its over ...

But some large crusader armies are at my doorstep, no matter tho since I'll exterminate them and claim the Italian peninsula to myself ... then I expand in all directions, exterminating whoever comes in my path (or sacking rather ) ... claiming all of Africa and saving the Moors in Spain ...

Maybe they're just scared lol ... my military ranking is once again number 1 (higher than the Timurids and Mongols) I might be able to claim 45 settlements if I get serious lol

Tip: If you make a faction your vassal they'll be your BFF. Buff them up (give them some of your regions, some money) they'll fight by your side the whole time and will never betray you.

I want the Moors to be my vassal ... we'll see how it goes ...

Tip: To make a faction your vassal you need to literary make them pathetic. Block all their sources of trade. Reduce them to ONE city. Destroy all their armies. Surround their city by your army.
