So another school year is almost over, but our school gives out finals for all major subjects we learned this year. What are some good study habits?

Re: School final
repetition is the key to knowing these things perfectly. you could read your notes for 30 mins a night and after a couple of weeks you would just know them, also making sure you test yourself everynow and then, if you can get someone else to write a question based around some of your notes Or see if your teachers have any past exam papers you could try.

Study tips:
Keep your notes, don't lose them, read them over.
If you have the same book(text book), try looking over it. If you don't, ask your teacher.
Don't sleep at 1 a.m.()

Re: School final
Study tips:
-Test yourself!! This is the number 1 rule, test yourself from past tests or online, jsut test your self
-By testing your self, youll know your weakness, so improve those
-If this is a SS test, remember the most significant dates (Trust me, I jsut knew like 1 date and I know it by the century number "17__" and I got a 4)

Re: School final
Well, all the good ones are already taken.
Just relax, be confident, and try to go over the important notes before going to school. but NOT 15-5 minutes before the exam (that time is to get ready).

Re: School final
Start studying well in advance and read everything to begin with. If there's something you don't understand, make a mental note (or physical note) to ask your teacher later. Then, before exams read over the notes again to refresh your memory before the test. That's how I do it.

Re: School final
go through your notes with a highlighter when your studying. when readying a paragraph highlight a phrase or line telling you what its about and highlight any facts, figuers or the point of the paragraph.
so say you were studying something like this (taken from a wikipedia article on the history of pottery in the soutern levant)
thats just a quick example, its not very good im afraid, if you do it right you will be able to find the facts you need to learn faster and if you can colour code it right that can help you when you have remember as much as you can about something. like a question might be Give 2 examples of a shape that started in early bronze III sites and continued to bronze IV and later sites?

Middle Bronze Age I (ca. 2300– ca. 2000 BC)
This period goes under a number of names: Early Bronze/Middle
Bronze, Early Bronze IV and Intermediate Bronze are just some of the
apellations given it. The pottery of the earliest phases has a clear
'Early Bronze flavor'. Some of the shapes of vessels and the details of
them, e.g. flat bases and folded 'envelope-like' ledge handles indicate
continuity of traditions. Indeed, recent evidence of Early Bronze III
sites shows that certain forms made their appearance then and continued
into Early Bronze IV or even later. The four-spouted lamp is one of
these; another is the 'teapot' shaple.

Re: School final
Hmm...to tell you the truth. The only study habit that I know is to just read the chapter in your book that you are getting tested on...right before the test.
I do this all the time, and I get 90-100s...not bad.
