Geometry Help?

So, My science teacher gave my class a math problem.
He said who ever solves the problem will get 10
points in there next science report card. I need these
10 points since i have a 97.89 as a science average and
I want a hundred. I hope you guys could help. I hate being
in 8th grade.

The question is hard to state.
So ....
How can you inscribe any equilateral polygon (meaning a polygon with
equal sides) in a circle with only using a ruler,compass and pencil and
paper. I came up with couple of formulas but you need to use a calculator,
so formulas don't help.

Someone please, help.

Uh, how do you need a formula? You draw a straight line, use the compass, set it to the size of that line, line it each of the line you drew, then draw an arc, then intersection should be on a point on the circle and that'll be what you need to connect to

can you explain a little further because i had no clue what you said.
