Well at my school we took Algebra II/Trigonometry. That's when I took all the log related stuff.

i can tell u all i know about logs (its not very much BTW)
>> loga(base)n=x means that a^x=n

* loga(base)1=0
* loga(base)a=1
>> log10(base)x is sometimes written as logx
>> The laws of logarithms are:
* loga(base)xy= loga(base)x+loga(base)y .... the multiplication rule
* loga(base)x/y= loga(base)x-loga(base)y .... the division law
* loga(base)x^k= kloga(base)x .... the power law
these are very similar to the indices laws
>> From the power law, loga(base)1/x=-loga(base)x
>> to change a base of a log:-
* loga(base)x=logb(base)x/logb(base)a ... where b is the base u wanna change it to
>> from the changing the base rule.... loga(base)b=1/logb(base)a
>> Then of course u have ln and e... but i'm not sure if u need to know 'em or not

its just a fancy way to write an exponent ...
for example:
log 5 25 = 2
is the same as 5^2 = 25
for example:
log 5 25 = 2
is the same as 5^2 = 25
