I get the sense, from reading old topics, that in general all of us (oldies-flame, sayf, Hassan, jj, steve, sam) used to be...happier.

And we were fewer members back then. Yet we had so much fun.

What happened? O.o

I would have said age...but at the time samthedragon was as old as Sayf now. Sayf was as old as me now. Etc etc.

Is it just the era that we live in (2010) that's making us so...stressed...dull perhaps?

Is it because of the influx of new members? Would we have been the same if we got no new members? Or is it something else?



P.S.: No offense meant to the new members. All the new members are cool people but I was just wondering.

Were we? I honestly think that we just...matured a bit. It seems that all of us have experienced more of life and...we might just not wanted to.

I don't know...I think we were...read a couple of old posts.

Yeah but that's the thing:

Sayf was as old as me now.
Sam was as old as Sayf now.
I was as old as Pried, JJ now.

Yet that old Sayf, Sam or Steve, and I were much happier. We have their ages now but I don't think we are...I might be mistaken.

So...I dont think its a matter of becoming more mature...

Judging by the many debates we had, I would say we have matured.

Well before I made this forum I debated for 3 years... fierce debates...at Sals. So...?

Once again I dont think we matured...just became more dull IMO. I mean we weren't acting like noobs back then...just happier people.

Exactly, that means you learn faster than me and therefore be able tho debate earlier than me.

Ok...but I was still happier...even after all the debating.

Because you were "hanging out" with young people. Now we have grown older.

Sam was a member here. He came when steve did.

I understand why sam left. He already told us.

As for Steve, yeah he could tell you all he wants. But ultimately he did leave beceause of the new people even if isn't directly at all.

Think about it.

If all you YA! people weren't here. He wouldn't have had the attachment to all of you. I wouldn't have made Gaz admin (Then he wouldn't want to be admin himself). I wouldn't have been mad at him. Etc etc etc

Otherwise he would have left long ago.
