Black Hawk Down

Watch this movie. It's as amazing as the Band of Brothers series. It made me hate Somalia though.

I watched this movie lots of times. Now theres a new movie called Battle Los Angeles and the producers say that it will be Black Hawk Down and Independence Day combined.

Didn't this movie make you kinda hate Somalia? Some of the deaths were so depressing. Like where the guy was in the corner, injured, then ran out of ammo... And the guy whose artery they couldn't clamp.

yeah, I also hate the part where the Somalis didn't let the soldier take his picture of his family when he was captured.

Yeah, that's the soldier I was talking about. It's so sad.

Depressing because of what happens to the US soldiers, or the Somalis?

US soldiers.

Why did they go their in the first place again?

Because the U.N. wanted peacekeeping troops there.

The goal was to capture a few assistants of the warlords.

I think the UN should have given resources such as food to the Somalis, than to send soldiers.

And where will the food go to? The warlords instead.

Equip the Somali government with arms and they'll take care of them themselves.

Somalia doesn't have a government. It's run by the warlords.

I believe it does have a government...and they are battling the warlords that are called the "Islamic Courts"
