Yale sent me yay! Empty Yale sent me yay!

Post by Ahmed Sat May 01, 2010 1:45 pm

    Hey Ahmed,
Greetings from the Yale Undergraduate Outreach Committee!
My name is Elliot and I’m a student working in the Admissions Office. First, I’d like to congratulate you on being an excellent high school student! Your hard work has definitely caught our attention. As you begin or continue your college search, I’d love to tell you a bit about Yale and why it’s a great place to consider spending your college years.

Yale’s campus is vibrant and full of activity. With over 2,000 courses, over 300 student organizations, and over 5,000 enthusiastic Yalies, you will never be at a loss for how to spend your time. There are endless on-campus activities every weekend, from plays to musicals to concerts to comedy skits to social gatherings, and more. New Haven provides you with anything else you might want to do on your Saturdays and Sundays, whether its visiting cozy delis and cafes, exploring the beautiful parks and natural areas nearby, or joining the city’s buzzing nightlife.

One of best things about Yale is the Residential College system, which provides a tight-knit community of students and faculty that is a microcosm of the Yale population. A 5,000-person undergrad body is a lot at first glance, but the Residential College system makes meeting new people easy and stress-free. The student body is organized into 12 small communities (the colleges), and provides you with a kind of “home base” to build out from. You meet the people in your college right from the start—on Move-In day, when the upperclassmen from your college help move you in, and your residential college Master and Dean welcome you—and they stay with you all four years. However, the whole system is very interactive; people from different colleges definitely hang out, are best friends, and eat at each other’s dining halls. If the Residential College system is still a little confusing to you, think about the Harry Potter house system; we just have 12 colleges instead of 4, except none of them are evil (haha).

[It continues further, but I think that's enough to post)

Yale is the 3rd best University in the USA. It's an Ivy League school.

    1) Congratulations ya Sultan man, wishing you the best in college life and after isA.

    2) You can't say a university is the 3rd best university.. You need to say in which college. Like is it the 3rd best in engineering, business, science, arts, etc.. Coz it all matter.

Like in Egypt, AUC is the best in business, but Cairo Univ. is the best in engineering, etc..
