To Focus

I have thought that this forum could do better in terms of more activity if it had a single topic to focus on.

So I wanted you guys to tell me on a topic that you would like to see it focused on and then we'll vote.

I pick to focus on the Total War game series.

why not just games? Most of us here play some form of them.

Focusing on one topic is a sure-fire way to lose all of your members. >.< I suggest moving and then advertising the forums.

i disagree entirely, focusing the forum on one interest brings people of similar interests together, its a good way to increase the number of members.

i find one of the biggest charms this forum has is the ability for free speech on all subjects.

yeah i agree with you preid, but all of the forums we have now could be in a section or a few sections and then "the focus" can have its own forum or a few forums depending on what it is.

there is no game everyone plays, also most games have forums devoted to them, its a loosing battle to go up against them.

But if it just a general game forum...it still has the general sense to it.

Anyone that doesn't like the focus. Most people come here I think because there is no purpose, just general discussion.

but the discussion isn't that general, and i do propose a general gaming forum, more people are more likely to own a ps3 than played a specific game on a ps3 and more people will own any console.

Sure, a gaming forum would be nice. I mean, it has a broad focus, and it will attract others a lot. As long as we keep every other section, I'll be fine.

How about just a technology forum in general? We can make a huge tech section and keep everything else.

We need the focus to be somethign popular btw.

Also of course we will ahve some "Off-Topic" forums, but we can't possibly have all the current exsiting forums...I think General, debate, Graphics and technical are the only ones that should stay.

Sal's has thousands of members, and theirs is like ours with an expanded Rumescape section.

why be a technical forum? As a group we know very little about technical things.

Actually Fang Sals is a Runecsape forum, hence the name "Sal's Realm of Runescape", it is also tagged with "Runescape". It is a Runescape forum with a small off-topic forum on the bottomR

BTW "..." , my question about "Which members do you speak of?" was a rhetorical question. I was trying to get the point across of, that there are hardly any active members here (Like 7-9). And if they all agree on making this have the focus of a game forum then it is accepted.

I gotta go with steve here, even though I am developing a general gaming forum myself. In fact a transition from everything to general gaming would become smooth especially now since there's more of a variety of people here who plays wii, xbox 360 and ps3.

I personally oppose limiting the forum, but, on the whole, I would go with the consensus (hail democracy)

You aren't limiting the forum Hassan. You are just trying to limit the forum. There will be a section for Non-focusing topics.

i have an idea how about we open a back area of the forum for gamer clans to host there clans off of, and perhaps they will venture into the rest of the forum to

Clans have to do with games, and therefore it would be in the main part of the forum.

allow me to start off by saying that if you change to that skin i quit -,- i have put up with alot of bad skins in the past but there is no way in hell i am ever going to tolerate that
