How many miles did the suez canal shaved off of a voyage by boat from the british isles to the indian subcontinet?

And what is the percentage of how much of the voayge (using suez) did it cut off if a boat was to go from the british siles around Africa to the indain subcontinent.?

With the suez it's 7,300 miles.
Without suez it's 13,070 miles

If you take the suez it would save 44% of the voyage
