    This is my last hope...

    In a series parallel circuit how do you find the voltage drop across a branch...this is urgent help!!!

    does the voltage half at every break off?, but the voltage would increase where r9 rejoins

    I wish I could burn this question -___-
    ==============
    All I know is that in a parallel circuit the voltage across parallel branches are the same.

    And no it does not half at every branch...

    The voltage doesn't neccessarly have a pattern other than at the end they must equal the total voltage (which is 60V).

    if all the paralels are the same then wouldn't r6 be 15?

    if the r1 r3 r4 r5 were worth 15 then then the circuit would end with 60v and to get to r5 the volts have to go through r6 :S

    But the problem is tha they are not all parallel, its paral and series

    This is the correct notation:

    R1||(R2+R3||[(R8+R9)||R7+R5||(R4+R6)])

    ** "||" =the parallel sign

    UR6= Ucc * R6 / (R4+R6+R7) and the Ucc is the battery voltage... simply voltage divisor Wink

    Well I got it wrong Sad (and so did the whole class)

    The answer is 12.1 V

    I put 10.6V

    Wilku I did it your way, and you get 20V, doing it your way, so its also wrong slanty

    Answer is UR6 on the right side of the picture Wink I can't calculate that becouse I don't have value of  R8 and R9.You must calculate R789=R7||(R8+R9) and R456=R5||(R4+R6) now you can calculate Up=UR4+UR6 and then UR6=Up* R6/(R4+R6). Do you get it now? Smile

    Look this time Ill give youe veerything:

    R1=560 ohms
    R2=56 ohms
    R3=910 ohms
    R4=1000 ohms
    R5=560 ohms
    R6=1000 ohms
    R7=1000 ohms
    R8=560 ohms
    R9= 560 ohms

    Total Volts= 60 Volts

    Electricity is so confusing.
