The same repetitive broken gameplay that has been done since 2009? No thanks, COD was at its peak during the first Modern Warfare and it went downhill after Activision demanded repeats of million dollar first day sales.
I followed Battlefield, COD and MOH from the beginning. MOH is on hiatus, COD's appeal went down along with the quality, Battlefield is still going on pretty strong. Unless EA f***'s it up with 4.

Warfighter was not as bad as the "professional" critics made it out to be, but the damage is already done by the time the game came out. Now there is barely a online community on PC, but there are still people on console playing the game.
I hope DICE LA get's a chance to revive the series with a brand new World War 2 game on the Frostbite engine.

I thought it was good and would be great with just a few minor adjustments. It's just that EA rushed it out of development 7 months early, yet still expected it to be fine.
Its development wasn't a complete waste of time, though. Have you noticed that a lot of the weapons and attachments in BF4 are visually identical to those in Warfighter? That's because the devs took those models to save time on making new ones so they could direct more focus on debugging BF4 and adding new things like a falling skyscraper.
I think EA gave up on MoH before Warfighter was even released and instead just used it as a testbed to see how certain things would impact multiplayer. Things like leaning around corners and sights that could easily be swapped between high and low zoom as well as the spawning system, which is superior to Battlefield's IMO. That's just my hunch, though.

Greg Goodrich (MOH2010 and Warfighter's producer) disappeared from Warfighter's public media relations in the middle of the game's development... not sure if he's still making games or not. He did post this video:
But yeah, I noticed those features in BF4 too. That's because some of the Danger Close personnel moved to the newly formed DICE LA studio, which was made to help the original DICE studio. They'll need the help especially if they're working on three games at once (Mirror's Edge sequel and Star Wars: Battlefront).

I'm just waiting for someone to screw up and make the Russian engineer a stormtrooper, and make the rebels in star wars do parkour around the Death Star.
