| That you all go out and get a copy of the book 1984 by George Orwell.
It's fictitious and was written all the way back in 1948, yet it may accurately describe the reasoning as to why the USA is still in the Middle East alongside a bunch of other interesting ideas.
It's a slightly graphic read, but it was allowed in my highschool so I'm sure it wouldn't bother you guys. I'm assuming by the posts here that none of you have read it, so DO EET.

| Is it the one with the cameras on top of the TVs and "Big Brother is watching you"? I heard about that from a bunch of English teachers/professors, but I have yet to take a look at it. | |

Man, it was the ONE school book that was actually worth reading. - Steve wrote:

Eh, it's not really a vacation book, it's more something that should be analyzed and thought about. Maybe I'll just make a topic longer than all hell explaining some of the stuff in it...

| Anything is holiday reading with the right attitude. I think I wouldn't care about an analysis of 1984, I'm aware its been done over and over, and that is what makes it interesting to me. not just that its a well read book, but the discussion it brings with it.
