P.S.: Do I need to memorize the formulas of the 2 calorimetry questions and the Specific heats of the substances? specific heat will usually either be given to you, or you will have to calculate it .. and yeah, you're going to have to memorize those formulas ... no way around it ... and no, q(soln)is not the same as ΔH ... but -qsoln = qrxn and qrxn/mol = ΔHrxn ΔH = the change of enthalpy ... Also ΔH = qp H = enthalpy this should help ... just read the book and learn how to do the problems lol | |

this should help ... just read the book and learn how to do the problems lol Well I would except that the book just gives examples of 2 very EASY questions of the type of questions....but their HW questions are hard. Also they explain very bad. Last question: What is the difference between ΔH and ΔE? Also lets say a reaction has a ΔH of +123 KJ Its enthalpy would be -123 KJ, correct (since energy is conserved)? | |

| The book doesn't explain calorimetry very good.  Well thanks anyways, I took the quiz and I think I did pretty good. But I still have a test next week. | |
