i got X2=1(P+1)
so X2= P+1

[b]... Show that the value of X3=1+3P+2P^2
kkz i did that all i did was substitute what i got for part [a] into Xn..

[c]... Find the value of P, given that X3=1.
so 1=1+3P+2P^2
3P+2P^2=0
P(3+2P)=0
P=0 and P= -3/2
so P= -3/2 (coz P does not equal 0)

[d] Write down the value of X2008
